Major Christine

We have so many wonderful memories of our 41 year friendship with Chris. From flatting with her before you two married, to our times in the States when we visited you, and you visited us, and then once you were back here in New Zealand, the many times we stayed with you. Chris was just such a great example of a faithful Christian woman, always serving others, helping people, making things for people, visiting people in Hospital, taking us and many others to the airport whenever we asked. The list of her good deeds is endless and an inspiration to all of us. But one of the things I will miss the most is her ability to teach the Bible to us women. She was so faithful in studying the word and as well as diligently applying it, she was able to teach it so well. We were truly blessed to be able to spend those years doing Zoom bible studies with her. I am going to miss Chris so much, her friendship, her example, her rock solid faith, her encouragement and her prayers. This world is a poorer place by far without her presence but heaven has gained a gem . Our hearts go out to Trev, Michael, Nicholas, Elli, Jasper and Oliver and our prayers will continue to be with you all . Until we meet again my wonderful friend, we love you so much. ❤️

Farewell my dear friend Chris.
Have never known a more caring and loving sister as you. Who continued to put others and their needs above her own. Who constantly put God and his word at the front of all she did. A real Proverbs 31!woman in this modern world. You’ll leave a big hole in the lives of everyone who knew you especially by Trevor and your boys. But we all won’t mourn. We will rejoice that you are at home with HIM you knew so well, dedicated your life to, and that you are at rest with God now.

Sending all of our love to Trevor, Michael and Nicholas. Although not able to be with you today in person, we were thankful to be able to join online.
So many good memories from many years ago in Northolt Road and Herbert Street in Hamilton. In this time of sorrow may you take comfort in the knowledge that you will see her again.

Chris was a wonderful Christian woman. She reminds me of Lydia or Phoebe in the Bible. She was always making something or giving something to someone. She was always doing things for other people. The word "charitable" comes to mind when I think of Chris, because of how much she would give, even if it was just giving her time in getting to know someone. I'm so thankful I got to know Chris, and I'll always cherish our conversations. My prayers are with Trevor, Michael, Nicholas, and the rest of Chris' family and friends. We can take comfort in knowing we'll see her again one day. ❤️ Until we meet again, sweet sister. ❤️ Love, Katie Libby

Who'd have fathomed at the PN Family Camp it would be the last time for many of us to fellowship with Chris here on earth. Thank you God for that time., 🙏 My sister died from a brain tumour and even though it may not seem so now but thankfully our Lord spared Chris and you all that ultimately painful journey. May the very happy and dear memories come to mind as you walk with our Lord in your grieving.

Chris was a real encourager and a lovely Christian example. Even from her hospital bed, she was more concerned for her brethren than for herself. Looking forward to seeing Chris again on that glorious day. Praying for Trevor and the boys.

One of life's greatest people. She was a true lover of all that is good and holy! Our Chris Major was a mainstay in our lives, and to all who knew her. You left a void, dear sister, but your departure to be with the Lord truly sweetens heaven's pull upon us all.
