A strong fiercely independent lady who lived her life for those she loved and for those who loved her, whom were many.
A Mum who worked hard all her life and gave her all for her children and family.
A legend of the Avondale markets, the lady on the hill and proud owner of The Auckland Dolls Hospital K Road for 25 years.
Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
Forever loved.
Graham and Sheila, Barry, Wayne and Simon, Jany and Keith, 12 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

Auntie,
So many good memories of having my store at the Avondale Market set up right next to you. One thing that always stands out was the lucky dips you used to sell—the colourful paper, and the joy on the kids’ faces as they opened them. It was something special to watch.
I also remember visiting your shop in the Henderson arcade, and that windmill machine you had making those little windmills—it’s a memory that’s stayed with me.
Rest in peace, Auntie. You’ll always be remembered.

So many wonderful memories of this beautiful person, Aunty Eileen. Always going somewhere, doing something and tagging all her friends and family along with her. Friday nights I used to love because Nana, Aunty Ivy and myself would get on the bus in Ponsonby and head for Karangahape Road to go window shopping and the last stop would be the Dolls Hospital. Often Uncle Joe would be out the back and so would Aunty’s bestie Betty. I used to love telling my friends that my Aunty owned that shop. She was a pillar of strength right up until the end. May you rest in peace now knowing that you have raised a beautiful family and how dearly loved you are. My love will always be with you. Jan
