While I am unfortunately unable to attend Paul’s funeral, I feel extremely fortunate to have had the pleasure of getting to know Paul over the last 10 years. Paul was a kind, caring and spontaneous man and I witnessed him go above and beyond for those around him countless times. I feel glad to have had the pleasure of enjoying his company and to have gone on several unforgettable adventures together. This is a great loss and my thoughts are with all those who will miss his company in their lives. With love, Josh

To Rosamund, Elsapeth, Jonathon, Andrew and Lauren. Saddened to hear of Paul’s passing. May he rest in peace. There has been a long history of our two families and many memories from Amatikulu, Eshowe and Empangeni. Memories of how hard he worked to make a new life here in NZ. His enthusiasm for politics and his exceptional intellect. Life was never boring when Paul visited. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We will watch his funeral online here in Wellington on Friday.
